A few months ago Ron was arrested by the police, who suspected of being involved in a

robbery at the local post office. He had been charged previously of petty crimes, but

never anything serious. The police questioned for several hours and finally convicted with the robbery. A few weeks later he got a letter saying that he had to appear in court the

following month when his case would be heared. Ron hired the best lawyer he could find

to defend him. He pleaded not guilty. When he was called to give evidence, he said he had been somewhere else 100 miles away when the crime

was commited. Unfortunately for Ron, three witnesses identified

him as the man

they had seen at the scene of the crime. He was found guilty and sentenced to three years

of prison.
