If you think about it long enough, shopping could be a hobby! A hobby is about doing something you love to do, not a specific sport or activity, but something YOU like to do. Even sleeping can be a hobby!
Shopping does involve using maths, and your brain, as you need to calculate the price to make sure you have the right amount of money. It also involes doing sport as you are walking around a big store trying to grab different items for your daily needs. It can be even more difficult with children, as they don't like to stay put, and they wander around grabbing more items that they want you to buy, and you do extra sport just trying to catch them!
So in my opinion, shopping is a considered hobby.
