Maya Angelou
Maya Angelou was an Afro-American poet, and also an activist, her work mesmerized many people from around the globe, this recognition helping her achieve many honorable awards. As I said, people were intrigued by her work, and her words, which helped many individuals find themselves in this "doomed" world. She has always encouraged everyone, to, take life by “the lapels”, and to find joy in everything, even though sometimes it gets overwhelming. Maya Angelou motivated people to embrace their sexuality, their identity, their background, and to cherish their family, being the best version of themselves while being at it. Her existence will always be honored, and most importantly, she has fought for justice.
And, if I may add one of my favorite quotes from her, it would be this one.
“If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude.”
